the Freehand was the yo-yo in which Duncan introduced the world to counterweight (or 5A) tricks. This means that this yo-yo doesn't have to be connected to your hand - instead the string can be attached to a small plastic counter-weight meaning that you can do an even more diverse selection of tricks. This yo-yo has a wide, flared shape making it ideal for string catching tricks. It uses the Duncan friction sticker response system (this is how the yo-yo returns to the hand once you've thrown it) and comes with extra spacers for advanced play.
