Qu-Ax really threw away the rule book when they made the new Q-Axle series. Their new fleet of super-duper trials unicycles use a 24mm axle which allows additional hollowing (meaning they're ridiculously light) but still super rigid. This new design means that the cranks are no longer pressed on to the conical axle like the ISIS system. Instead these cranks can be precisely positioned over the axle then clamped firmly closed. This means there is zero wear between the axle and crank and the crank position stays constant. These are highly engineered cranks (with the price to match) but the work of many years R&D from the Qu-Ax team - the leading designers in next-level unicycles. This option also allows the rider to choose between 125mm and 145mm mounting points for their pedals.

This is a set of mean looking Cross Pedals from Qu-Ax, Germany. These pedals are designed for ultimate grip whilst doing off-road riding - they're also exceptionally yet light weight, making them an ideal upgrade for aggressive Muni riding. The pins on these pedals are not removable. 

This is a super light, super strong giraffe unicycle geared towards performers. It features an alloy frame, sophistciated Qu-Ax saddle with compact handle and bumper. The QX Giraffe uses a cool white chain with alloy crank system.

The same saddle as found on the Luxus series of unicycles from Qu-Ax. A more exaggerated front works as a handle and is robust enough to survive repeated impacts. Its also pretty comfortable - available in 3 colours including 'Flame Style' for serious West Coast vibes and loads more speed (probably). 

The ultimate choice for off-road unicyclists. These smart looking unicycle pedals are a powder coated yellow are made from Magnesium and very light at 380g. The pins are replaceable and the inner bearings sealed to give a nicer ride.

Something very special and very peculiar from Qu-Ax. The kings of unicycle engineering have turned their attention to their mini circus bike and given it a tandem twist. The Tandem-version has a reinforced steel-frame and uses the same 6" wheels as the Minibike. It also features 2 x retro-styled rivet-saddles. As with 'normal' tandem bikes, the chain tension is adjusted with an eccentric bottom-bracket. Recommended for clowns - both professional and amateur! Only available in Blue - some minor construction is required.

What MKS don't know about pedals probably isn't worth knowing - founded in 1943, they've been producing bespoke, custom and speciality pedals for a long time. These plastic cross pedals are a brilliant white and ideal for unicycles geared up to racing, long distance or games. The teeth make these pedals very grippy so perhaps not ideal for flatland/freestyle riding.

The 20" Starter Muni model is ideal for riders starting to explore aggressive/experimental street styles and is equally at home on some basic off-road riding. This unicycle is exceptionally light and comes with a flatcrown fork with grip tape, BMX aluminium pedals and 48 hole crank (red) as well as 350mm aluminium seat post with double bolted clamp. The Starter Muni also has the added advantage of a 20" wheel which means users are free to interchange the tyre with the BMX tyre of their choice. A strange one this - Qu-Ax, Germany have done a modern day take on the Penny Farthing. It is as twee as it is surreal. It features a large 36" wheel with an air tyre. The Qu-Ax gentleman bike takes a while to get use to, but is a lot of fun and is built to the normal, consistent Qu-Ax standard. Very weird performance prop or a more unusual way to ride to the shops.

The standards in Mountain Bike (and thus Muni models) has shifted to this new wheel size because of several notable benefits. Whilst still lighter than a 29" model and rolls 10% more efficiently over obstacles than a 26" model. It also means more tyre makes contact with the ground giving more traction.
